Fundamentals

Suitable for beginners or for people who want a more extensive grounding in this approach to yoga. A systematic  and thorough introduction to basic postures that safely re-open the body and re-lengthen the spine. A core of 15 poses is taught and practised. This is sufficient to create a basic home routine and includes all the poses on Linda’s instructional CD “Limber for Life”. If practised regularly, these poses will keep us limber for life. By the end of the course people are confident in this basic home routine.

You will receive:

• Thorough instruction in basic postures, breathing and relaxation. Proper alignment is emphasized.

• Preparation for more advanced poses and for the intermediate level classes.

• Training in a basic routine that can be used at home. Handouts are provided.

• Training in all the postures in the Limber for Life CD. (This instructional CD and photographic guide are available to facilitate home practice).

Intermediate

At the intermediate level, practice in the fundamental poses continues. To this base, we add intermediate poses and more breathing techniques. The Intermediate Course changes each session; the new poses and techniques bring variety and breadth to our experience. Each session we build and practise a new routine that has been carefully planned and constructed to provide an accessible but challenging and balanced routine. Each course culminates with at least 4 classes in which we flow, from beginning of the class to the end. These flows include everything taught throughout the session.

You will receive:

• Thorough instruction in more advanced postures and breathing techniques.

• Practice in the basic poses of the Fundamentals Course.

• Training in a new intermediate routine and handouts to facilitate home practice.

• Handouts that include a menu of routines that vary in length and difficulty.
